Christmas

Quickly I would like to show you this picture. This is my "newer" good friend. His name is Dan too. I just thought I would share him with you. You would like him, he is great. I don't know where is his this Christmas though. He doesn't have a car and I think he may be semi-alone in Buffalo. So ya, this is Dan at Houghton having fun in the summer months. Your welcome.
Hi there!

So it is Christmas morning right now. "Christ is the Lord, oh praise His name forever" is my prayer. It is 6:40 and I woke up about an hour ago. I had no intentions of waking up early to open presents at all. I woke up because I had a dream and woke up at the end of the dream. I tried to fall back asleep but my downstairs makes noises like trains and chainsaws. (shhhhh) Those noises are now upstairs still in bed. (I sleep upstairs, but my room is downstairs in the basement.) Back to my dream. It was weird, and had me a tadbit scared. It was first day of classes, and I was in a class that I couldn't pronounce. Being the good student I am I came to class early and was the first one to arrive. You know the feeling "am i in the wrong class" started to come over me, but no, I was correct, and I was going to continue to think that. Turns out I was in the correct class. The TA walked in, slammed down a big stack of papers on my desk, and said, these are yours. Then the TA walked out. Students then started to come in and sit down, people chatted, some drinking coffee and tea. You can tell who just got out of bed, who was up all night, and who was actually excited to be in class at 8AM.
(just because)
So it became about 8:10 and still no teacher, and no TA, just a classroom full or people paying about $85 dollars to be there. So the teacher finally walks in, an old short lady with the grandma look going for her. I wasn't too scared anymore. SO ya, the teacher comes in and says something along the lines of this "class your assignment for the next two weeks is already done" The class cheers, all but me of course. I just put a big stack of papers in my bag. She continues "someone volunteered to do it all for you, so just come back in two weeks on Monday and we will continue then" Everyone gets up and skadaddles.

There is something you must understand before I go on. I am the type of person who wonders all the time. I wonder how things work, and mostly how things are built. Houses mostly I guess but in general I wonder a lot. Ask my friends, they know. I also wonder a bunch about why things happen. Some examples. I wonder if there is something more with deeper meaning. "things happen for a reason" type things. some may call it reading too much into things, ya, whatever. Connect the dots on your own. Color to your own liking.

So I was sitting there in the class alone, me and the teacher with an odd smile/smirk on her face. I could continue the story and get to the ending, but the story is really just a dream remember. So I was laying in bed thinking, weird.

So I'm done with my story. It is really something else though in a weird way.

The outcome isn't important in my dream. The dream isn't important. Real life is. Christ the Savior is born. A man. He came and sacrificed more than two weeks of homework. Jesus Lord at thy birth. A birth like a human. He became a human for me. Gave it all up for me...for you. For me; just a human.

waiting...

what are you waiting for? what do you think you are waiting for?
There is a waiting time frame for some things, and not for others.
Say you want a license to conceal a handgun and you live in NY.
you have to wait 6 months before they will give it to you.
Now say you want to wait to get a phonecall back from someone.
There is no prescribed time for that. None at all.

I guess I stink at writing when I am tired.

It's upstairs for me yelled Ted
It's downstairs for me yelled Fred.
The birds got the word.
Big dogs need big beds, and little dogs need little beds.

not so much a loyal dog

Dear Adam,

I am sorry I haven't talked to you in almost 6 months. I miss you Adam. This weekend I will find you. I will visit with you. You once again need to be my friend. We will catch-up!

Love,

Dan

p.s. happy birthday man

pancakes

Why do they call them pancakes? Do you make them in a pan? NOPE

Pancakes are one of the greatest things ever created I think.
You make pancakes in a skillet, or on a griddle, not a pan.

I would love to go on and on about how I love pancakes and breakfast food, but I don't have the time. I really don't. I think I am going to go to bed right now, and it is only 8:50. So I guess I do have time, but I also really would like to be able to get up and enjoy my morning rather than just getting ready quickly to go to work and run out the door eating a bagel. A bagel is breakfast food, but I'm talking good breakfast food, true breakFEST food. Eggs, Bacon, some toast, sausage, hash browns, and some good OJ and some T. So about that bed thing.

More to come later. Some true adventures of how GOD IS GOOD!
