not quite 2 months

Two months summed up.

I strongly dislike, with a passion and would avoid it at all costs think it should die, Spanish.

School demands my attention and makes me busy.

I don't know how much more of a blog you will get, school is almost over, the next 4 weeks will be busy with may term class and work. Work on the ropes course and work being coordinator for may term events. When I'm not doing either of that I will be talking with or being with my future wife and current best friend. If I can't manage to do that I will probably be cleaning and preparing to drive back home, unload my stuff, and leave for Wisconsin the next day. After 2 months or so I will drive back home (can't wait), and do the whole, I graduated, must find a job/house/apartment/finish wedding planning/get married thing!

My blogging days are numbered. Must go finish paperwork, and no, that doesn't mean I'm going the bathroom.

oh ya, my township at home stinks!

emo

a story from yesterday...

So I was in the Campus Center, SW corner on my computer working...
emo folk walk over with DVD. Campus Center emo-dwellers come over and see what is up, ask if they got it. Big ol' TV is also in the SW corner, a whole 2 feet from me. They move furniture and face me (which is also facing the TV) . They are pretty much looking at me. Here is what I heard. Laugh when you feel so inclined.

"There is no color, shouldn’t there be color? Oh I don’t know. (3 people behind TV) Is it even on? Hue makes it turn green or blue or something. Change it back. It says converter? Did I do anything, undo that one and put it in Aux. How bout now? Hold on babe, (guy to guy) Plug this into anything, Video 1 went off. That means bad. It won’t go back in. Give me that, you don’t know what you are doing. S-Video 2 isn’t what you want. We want to watch James and the Giant Peach. That’s not a diamond, nope, Is it white gold? I haven’t seen it yet. We need to bend the pin back right. I have an earring, so do I. Hold on, we shall get it to work. Trying plugging them all in. We don’t have them all, it is supposed to be plugged in? Black and white is ok. Why don’t we just watch it on a laptop. Let’s just act it out, I’m James, a giant peach. Maybe it’s a black and white movie, why don’t we have color? Hey Stephan, do you know how to get color? This movie is in Black and white, give me the case. You’re thinking of the wizard of oz. Oh ya, wait no. Maybe there is something else, do menu. What is popping? Don’t be alarmed anyone. What is this thing? It’s not plugged in at all. Let’s just watch it and see what happens. It’s working through the S-video. What isn’t working? Ok, let’s just watch. This needs to be plugged in. This needs to be plugged in. This needs to be plugged in. Ok, I heard you, we don’t have enough plugs. (movie plays in black and white, they give up getting it to work properly) What did he just give that away? (some move around and get comfy) (slight pause) I’m cold. "

This was my entertainment last night!

Have a good day everyone, Spring is coming!

wanting to climb REAL bad,

I'm like the big "V" in HVAC

Trebuchet is a weird word. So I'm "V", take off the "lation" and add "ng". For those of you who don't know HVAC is Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning...

I'm venting.

College Math 10whatever is not Math. I feel as though it is just memorizing what you learned in class. It isn't thinking through the problem at all, it is remembering what buttons the teacher pressed during class time. I guess I also don't quite remember everything. I get frustrated though, I sit and class and can do whatever my teach does before they do it. I get the answers and understand what I am doing in class. When I go to do the homework I can't remember a lot of it. I have spent 2 hours trying to figure out my homework (over break mind you) and I have 2 answers of about 15.

I'm going to go now, my fiance is on the phone.

bOrEd

We know that if people are bored it is more a statement about the person than about their situation. But in OUR case, it is definitely about the situation. Today - tonight - Houghton College is BORING. The peanut gallery says that it's an attitude problem, but we also know that is a false accusation.

So, the list of things to do in Houghton tonight...

1.) BAKE OFF. Been there. Done that.
2.) INTERNATIONAL BANQUET. Missed that. Over.
3.) MOVIE. Impossible to watch tonight. The world has conspired against us.

The secretary is now moving over so that the boss can write. Ciao.

I guess she thinks I am the boss, so here I go...and I think I am in a bad mood so be careful to read this in a "Dan is angry" type tone of voice to yourself.

You know, I really don't even care like talking. I wish my computer had a DVD player, then we wouldn't be having any problems. All we wanted to do was watch a movie, but I couldn't do that and because of that this night has been unproductive, I have been with her since 6 and the only amount of fun that we have had on this Saturday night is the fun I had spending $6 at the bake sale auction.

and Yes, I do think you should be having a pitty party for me!

Back to something but I really have no idea what,

Mr.King Daniel (title compliments of Ms. Joanna)

my future sister-in-law says I should post. (that alone is enough of an entry for me)

she wants me to share my exciting news. (any guesses?)

i don't want to because I haven't told all my friends that I am engaged. (oops)

She says I am a punk...and sooo silly. (probably true)

she also doesn't want to fold more frickin' clothes that aren't hers. (she has to go back to college tomorrow and may be sad)

So I am sitting on a couch in Western NY at my future wife's house. (red, blue and green plaid)

I am now engaged. (woot woot!)

If you are a faithful blog reader I am sure you are invited so save the date of September 29, 2007. We are getting married that day! (more woot woots)

I also am sorry if you found out I am engaged through this blog entry, but I asked and she said "yes" so tuff. (no really I am sorry)

as i sit here next to her I pray all goes well,

this is stinkin' nuts

as in almonds, or maybe the "p" variety...

Ok, so this is going to be a complete sputtering of words, whatever feels like coming out probably will so be warned, don't look for an ending as it may probably not come, but then again maybe it will.

Good Will Hunting, Hunting for deer, deer processing, processing film, ifilm-not longer accessible through college's filter, filtered water, water is wet, wet dog, dogs are awesome, awesome God, God answers, ANSWER THE PHONE, phone home, home is where the heart is, is it ever going to snow?, snow is white, white equals purity, purity is a good thing, "thing" can be practically anything you want it to be, to be or not to be, be there or be square, square ceramic tile, tile is nice, nice or naughty, naughty is ok sometimes, sometimes I just want to punch someone, someone could be anyone, anyone bored?, bored isn't a good word to play off of, of all the people in the world I'd pick you, you said ask and you will recieve, recieve is a stupid word that is always used for the "i before e rule", rules are meant to be broken, broken means you need to fix it, it is somewhat like anything, I usta could been able to talk.

Today was a good day. GOOD by definition means welcoming, fun, pleasing. Good, up at 6:30, work at 7:30, "fun" work being copper water lines today, and setting tubs and showers. Good being done at work around 11:30 and home by 1. Good means not living near the crazy traffice at the Ross Park Mall. Good means going shopping with my dad to get presents, shhhhh don't tell. Good means it is 10:45 and I have accomplished a ton today. Good being I got paid with cash today, all the presents are wrapped and I didn't spend more than I budgeted. Good being 3 days from now is real Christmas, tomorrow Christmas here then to Gram's, good being with family. Good being with my girlfriend and her family. Good being I get to fire off some rounds soon. Good living with Ethan and Dan, good loving life. Good being...I hate Spanish.

Spanish is the devil. The devil is evil. By some law or something I learned in about 2nd grade...Spanish is evil. Spanish needs to die, my mind is not open on this subject, I dare you to try to change it...anyone but God that is, He could change my mind and I'll probably end up in Spain or Mexico in full-time ministry. ya right, God knows how much anger I feel about the subject of Spanish, my hate level for Spanish is peaking in the red zone up there with the hate for cats topic.

Topic guns...

useful tool for sure, bring it on. Armed citizen is good, keep em' guessin'.

Ok, I'm off to bed. Tomorrow I have a Christmas here at 8 or so, breakfast then presents near fire, with pauses to finish the garage work project, Christmas presents again at 2 w/ the Sondej's, dinner at 6, then up early Christmas Eve to go see...

her.

Now pay close attention to what I say, I am very specific in the words I choose and I only say it once. I just planned and executed the perfect bank robbery.

Goodnight. Happy reading, browsing and generally wasting time.

Oh ya, Convienent stores, this is the ending I was talking about. I think they are dumb too. Don't go into them. Pop, Soda whatever you call it is too expensive and not good for you anyway. The average Sheetz customer spends 5 dollars inside. 20oz is like $1.59, food expensive, coffee expensive too. I dare, dare you to write down everything you spend for one month. EVERYTHING, for one month. If you are a consumer impulse convienent store buyer I bet you will save over $50 a month if you stop the "convienent-consumer American gotta have it, I have no patience mindset" you will save yourself some bucks. Cook your own gosh darn food... and exercise : )

my soapbox just caught on fire, I must go extinguish the flames...

Merry CHRISTMAS

a year and some not quite procrastination

A year ago today I was all packed ready to leave for PA, ready to leave for home for my birthday dinner and then a trip to Florida to build some dock. A year ago tonight I was in Kions singing Praise Adonia. A year ago today.

Now I am not quite procrastinating. I will rant and rave about my test tomorrow, in a Q & A style.

Q1. Why were all the people ticked off and sad on the eve of the reformation?

A1American style: they were ticked they couldn't come to america.
A2. well Dr. A. I know 2 words won't be enough for you, but really it was just the Black Death

Q2. Describe the process of Luther's life/ideas from his entry...blah blah blah, Dr. A. really means right everything you are supposed to know about Luther.

A2. Luther was mad at his dad. He didn't want to be a lawyer, he becomes a monk instead. God says no Luther, you will be a protestant. He leaves Monkhood. Tower Experience, 95 Thesis make more people mad because of the printing press and all. He believes sola fides-by faith alone. Stupid catholics and their indulgences is what he says. He also says sola scriptura, by scripture alone, scripture is the only thing to test things too. So anyway, Luther makes people mad and goes to the Diet of Worms 1521-he doesn't recant. Leaves. BYE Luther. oh ya, he gets married also, but he did leave his monk lifestyle.

Luther was a cool guy really, maybe I'll see him someday.

Q3. Why reformations not just reformation?
A3. Well, what do I want to write?

1. Luther changed things
2. Zwingli changed some things too
3. Grebel did the whole Anabaptist thing, although Dr. A never mentioned him as the founder
4. Calvin well, he changed it up some too. He goes all over the place to minster and makes Calvinists all over the continent
5. Henry VIII changed some things will all his Catholic beliefs and no male heir thing
6. Cranmer makes things Protestant again with his "book of common prayer"
7. Oh, Bloody Mary kills most of the protestants
8. she dies, and Elizabeth Uno says that "peace is better than being right" and says do whatever you want just don't tick off your neighbor
9. The Society of Jesus trains some catholic priests
10. Prots and Caths debate at the Council of Trent and everyone is mad and leaves w/o resolve.
GO CHRISTIANS! <-That was my smart butt comment. blah blah blah, Spanish lose many armies, everyone fights, French, Germany, English, all at Civil War because of religion, a few details happen until John Locke the Anarchist himself comes in and tells everyone how to overthrow the government. He does a good job and everyone likes him.

Q4. Are you still reading this?
A4. ???
My answer...I sure hope not, I am just rambling and "they" tell me that I should rewrite or retype the main key points in my notes so I learn it better. I didn't feel like writing so I typed it instead and I am sure at least one of you will find it humurous, if not most people's blogs are just something to kill time with anyway. like facebook and all the other online community type things that are a genious marketing idea. So anyway, I guess I shall go study for another 30 minutes or so until I get to go work on a non-crashing Mac in the Art building to finish my photoshop assignment for tomorrow. i hope the printer has ink tonight.

enjoying my new The Rupublic of Tea teas and MWS Christmas...
